These jerks are trying to get in touch with a person that does not live here anymore. Last night they had the nerve to call a neighbor????? The neighbor came by saying Kwanas has an urgent message for this address for a person no longer here at least 3 years since they lived here?????? What the heck is wrong with you people?????? Get your facts straight and dont harrass us or our neighbors you sheisty sharks!!!!!!! The FCC oughta put you all behind bars without phone priveliges!! Get a real job!
You know what before u go spouting off about low life's not paying their bills, maybe you should look at both sides of the situation. In our case chase has been paid off and the [***] at CS keep calling!!!
My neighbor just taped a note to my door saying to call Terry Jacobs @1-800521-3236 ext 54295 SAT AM, What low lifes!!!!!!!!!! I better not see him. Did not call can't wait to see what they will do next. I don't answer calls from people who I do not have in my phone. You can also go to AT&T and block their numbers!!!
"Above is pure ignorance.....the collector is doing a job....to feed their family and so they can pay their bills. They do not relish in your or anyone else's misfortune. It is a job that NEEDS to be done because if there were no collections, it is estimated that that cost of credit would be about 25% higher and MANY would have no credit extended to them at all."Yes, the collector is doing a job - they work on commission and the carrot at the end of the stick is getting as much money as they can for as little effort as possible. Maybe they are feeding families, maybe not. But extortion and larceny are criminal offenses. Does having domestic responsibilities clear them of any culpability? A job that needs to be done...wow, where to start...third party collections is unnecessary. The original creditor is already collecting insurance on their defaulted debt. Selling these portfolios off to a third party brings in more profit. The cost of credit being higher? Dont' know. What I DO know is that if third party collections were outlawed, the original creditors would be forced to try harder to make arrangements with their customers who were experiencing tough financial times, which is really the only HONEST way to clear out those ARs. You ought to do a bit more thinking before clicking on that 'submit message' button.
A man calling himself Gordon Wood left a message on my voicemail sounding as he were leaving it for my ex husband (we'be been divorced 19 years!) and even stated my ex's phone number. "Mr." Wood wanted any info on me that he "could use" and left 800-521-3236 as his conact number. Too bad for him... I'm out of the country!
"I hope you all are sued for the money. That's probably what will happen to most of you dumb-a**es. Wake up, grow up, and pay up you f'n losers."Herein lies the problem - many of us don't owe you anything. When we demand that you follow the law and provide some information about what you want and who (yeah, sometimes this phone number shows up on caller id and the speaker spouts a ton of threats and demands money, but won't say for exactly what or to whom!) we're only expecting what the law allows us. FYI, Sparky, any legitimate collection agency will get a demand letter in the mail a good two, three days BEFORE making that first call. At any rate, the demand letter has to show up within five days of the first phone call. If you think that you're going to just 'skate by' doing everything on the phone without issuing something in writing, you are wrong and you are violating the FDCPA!
I just received a call from this number. They would not identify the name of their company and was asked to give them my social security number. I told them I do not give my SS number out as I have had my identity stolen in the past but if they had my address they could send me something in the mail. They said they did not have my address and because I would not give them my SS # they could not talk to me then and hung up. Have no idea who they are or what they wanted. Seems like a phising call to me.
