Tom Dalton called me -- no idea why he called -- left the sound of a flushing toilet (marked "urgent") for him in his voice mail. ;o)
You need to learn how to spell. Your company called us about someone we have no relationship with and it's a stretch that we'd know where they were and an even bigger stretch to think we would tell you anything about them if we did.
states clearly in fdcpa that cease communications to your home/cell must be in writing (FTC.gov website) HOWEVER telling them NOT TO CALL YOU AT WORK CAN BE VERBALMake sure you include NOT CONVENIENT TO RECEIVE CALLS in your letters. How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter – even if you don’t think you owe the debt, can’t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don’t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector – in writing – to stop contacting you. Here’s how to do that:Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a “return receipt” so you’ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt. Can a debt collector contact me any time or any place? No. A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they’re told (orally or in writing) that you’re not allowed to get calls there.
Just Ignore them! Its a civil matter and the only way any of these fools can get anything from you is by getting a judgement from the courts and they wont do that because they are FOOLS!

Kim Smith, Client Services INC 1-800-521-3236 EXT: 54320She pretty much hung up on me,
This just happened to me today... (7/27/11). A woman from Client Services in MO called here, wanted me to go across the street and get a message to one of my neighbors who I don't even know? That is rude and ridiculous! The Nerve!? I said I didn't feel comfortable doing it, and she hung up. I figured it was a collection agency. We must get 2-3 calls a week from other collection agencies... looking for other people that don't live here... wish they'd stop wasting my time!
After months of calls from 800 521 3236, I finally decided to call the number. The guy called out my name to verify and then proceeded with an address which was incorrect. He apologized and said he would remove my number. I keep getting calls (land line only) from collection company's about my neighbors (one in particular). It may be a tactic to embarrass neighbors and also not as many people to day have land lines.
Called looking for my ex-wife using her name from her first marriage that ended in 1986, after which she did not use the name. I explained that I have not seen her since 2001 and neither know nor care where she is. The guy got really belligerent and I hung up. He called back and I hung up again. On the third call I explained that one more call will result in an FTC complaint and a report to the California Attorney General. Have not heard from him since.
I had filed for bankruptcy, had a lawyer, did all the paperwork, just waiting for the final case to go to court. My NEIGHBORS told me people were calling them from this phone asking for personal information about me. What or where was my location. Why was my house in disarray? Why were my outdoor lights not working? Who was taking care of my lawn. Did I have anything nice in the house that they knew of? I told my lawyer and he said he'd fix that. My step mom said they were calling her house at night. I had a malfunctioning exterior garage light. It is creepy that they knew that.
