P.S. Almost immediately after I filed the small claims court case, the calls from AmEx stopped. Amazing. I'm still suing them for the past 50+ calls.

Got a call from these guys. Asked for my number. I didn't give it and he said "But you called me you know I'm american express!" To which I responded "Have you heard of phishing? I have no confirmation that you're american express. Could I have some of my personal information?" To which he got flustered and hung up on me.I called real AmEx (back of card number) and they confirmed that the number is one of theirs and all was well. I told them to please crush whatever idiot was abusing their number and they seemed like they might.

I was getting this call repeatedly from AMEX, I contacted them and they verified the number is theirs. If you want to stop the calls then contact Natacha St.Louis, Executive Office She was very helpful and contacted me after I emailed everyone listed here with a complaint. I have gotten 7 calls in 3 days from this number. The one time I picked up, the line cut off. Then 5 hours later: another robocall. Is there a place in Washington State to sue and/or complain?

Why, why, why do these people keep calling us?! We have NEVER done ANY business with American Express EVER and they keep calling us at all hours of the day and evening! This has been going on for about 2 weeks. They even called at almost 9 pm last night! We have never had an American Express credit card or had anything to do with them at all. These calls need to STOP!!!!

I just got a call from this number at 8:00 pm! Who in the heck is calling that late?! Anyway, No message was left on my answering maching and after reading everyone's comments, I am glad I didn't answer. I have never had and never do plan on getting an American Express card. Don't know why they called me.

American Express been calling for over three months. Finally called American Express main office. Said, “Why are they always calling? I don’t have an account with them ( American Express). And take me off their call list.”He said, “ That number is not affiliated to American Express.”

I am receiving constant calls - every 2 hours from 1 800 266 7073 claiming to be American Express. The callback number is 800-592-1160. I called American Express and they said that they did not call me and that this is a phishing scam. I put this as a Prank Call because there is no way to indicate a phishing call.

I got another call yesterday afternoon and this time there was a message, said this is not a telemarketer call but that I needed to call them about an important matter. Since I don't have an AmEx card or account I looked up the customer service number on the web and called it. I spoke to a guy named Craig and told him that i had two calls and no account with them. He verified by my SSN that no accounts had been opened with my info. He also told me to get on the do not call list but I signed up for that years ago. I asked for a reference number for the call and he gave me his ID number. Hopefully the calls will stop.

Yes it is a legitimate call from American Express Billing Department. No fraud involved
