I received 6 phone calls w/in one day from 800-669-0102. When I called back it states that it was for Home retention and asking for my accnt# and SSN. Of course the first thing I did was hang up. After researching the phone# I found out that others have been going through this issue as well. So I looked up information for Country Wide Headquarters (1-818-225-3000), asked to make a complaint about that phone# and spoke to a representative. The only information I gave him was my phone#. The representative found that the accounts it pulled up were accounts that did not have my first name and were in other states(I did not give out my last name, was not necessary). First of all, I do not have a home loan or any dealings with Countrywide/Home Retention. What the representative did was remove my phone# from their call list and then transferred me to their Home Retention line. The represetative on the home retention line then removed my phone# from the account that does not belong to me. I was seriously annoyed by the 800-669-0102 phone# but determined to get the issue resolved. Let's see if what I did takes care of the annoying caller.
Get calls from this number several times a day. There is no way to contact a live human to try and get them to quit calling. I don't do any business with Countrywide. Aren't there laws against harrassing phone calls??
I have received several phone calls from this number over the past few weeks. They call everyday during my baby's naptime and wake him up. I always answer and want to talk to someone, but they hang up on me every time. I'm furious. I'm on a do not call list. What is going on?
I sublet my house for a few months while I was working outside the country. When I returned I started receiving calls from this number asking for someone I do not know. I have told them a million times that that person is unknown to me, they stop calling for a few days and start calling again. I believe the person they are calling is known to the man who sublet my house. It is annoying. How do I get them to stop calling my number?
I just got a call from them. Next time I will answer and record the conversation. I'll tell them that I will be requesting mediation through the state of Oregon, now that Senate Bill 1552 is in effect. They will be required to show a certified copy of the original signed note and the entire chain of title. I already know these things do not exist. I have a fraudulent and robo-signed Assignment of Trust done just this past March. I think I am looking forward to the call!
