Got a call from this number. They left a message saying they were from Wells Fargo and this was a courtesy call letting me know my new debit card was on it's way.

This same number was given to me by a 'gentleman' who established contact with me and calls himself 'William Glyn'. I doubt if that is his real name but who knows. He is CatPhishing and trying to scam for money. He gave me his bank and routing number as well in the hopes that I would deposit funds. Be Aware! He is a fraud, as well as this number is fraudulent.

This phone number was on a phishing email supposedly from Wells Fargo that went to a family member. His spouse's email is the Wells Fargo contact for their account rather than his email. Didn't call this number as it seemed the email was bogus and found the complaints. The email looked legit but between going to the wrong email; the bogus phone number; and rolling over the link to the "Fraud Center" in the email having a wrong character in one place, it was determined this was PHISHING. Beware!!

This number is real but the person making the call is a complete fraud. His ammo is to hook lonely hearts on social networking site and claims to be working oversea's in different capacities. He can't keep his lies straight so he is easy to catch. He does go by the name William Glyn, he sends striking handsome poses of himself as a military or international worker, and claims to be working on different contracts such as Uber, Chlor -- something I can't remember. Claims his wife died of cancer and it is just he and his daughter. He is a talented liar in the sense that he will provide great detail but easy to catch because he changes his story bit by bit. It's all a lie.... You can find him on Facebook and Google Sites. I'm sure he is out there on other sites as well. I spoke with him on the phone and his accent does not match his story. Just another red flag. Be ware -- eventually he will provide a hardship story as to why he needs you to send him money.

Had this call on caller ID, but no message. I won't answer these calls, and I doubt Wells Fargo had any real reason to call me.

I didn't get this as a call, but I got this in an email. It was immediately suspiciously because they didn't start out the email with my name. Saying I had a new card and to destroy the old one, and if I didn't receive it to call them.. such crap.
