Keep them on the line as long as possible.. they are calling from an 800 number and most likely long distance. The longer you keep them on the phone the more it costs them to call you. eventually they stop calling when they figure out its costing them more to call you then collecting anything from you or whoever they are looking for.

Got the same thing DM1 reported. So, I just blocked the number and reported it to my phone carrier.
