simply do not answer calls from unknown, unavailable, someone not in your phone contacts or any toll free. Simply put if they know you and it is important they will leave a message and their number to reach them at.
This is definitely the best post. Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number. They can leave a message (most of the time they don't).
I got a call from 800-922-0204. I let it ring since I did not recognize the number. I googled the number and "voila" - there are all these posts. All I can say don't answer if you don't know the caller. PUnknowneriod.

Just got a call too from this number. I have a habit of not answering 800s and unknown numbers. I sometimes don't even answer calls from people on my address book hahaha! No message, not important!
Did not answer the call - but did receive a late night call from this number. How are they getting credit card numbers? Are people actually giving this caller credit card information?
Guys this scares me. I just called that number and have my social security number. And my name. I am sacred for identity theft. I don't know what to do.
Same here. Must be an inside job. Also got a text that I am approaching my minutes limit. Checking online I am far from that. Same scammer?Verizon better get its act together. It seems they are not too concerned about privacy, if this can go on for a month.Final straw. Will switch carriers.
Just got a call supposedly from Verizon to go to a website sayingMy 45 verizon.com. To get a $45 credit. I don’t normally answer the phone from unknown callers but on the secondring it showed up saying Verizon wireless. Went back to the caller ID and the 877- # disappeared and said private caller. Go figure. Went to the website to check it out, but was blocked by the Firefox browser sayingIt was a phishing site. Called Verizon and they confirmed it. This just started recently. Wanted everyone to be awareOf this.
