Just got 45 verizon copy voicemail....to get free money $$$$..,,ya right. Apparently it's scam, don't be fooled
Got a call from 800-922-0204 saying to go to www.my45verizon.com I do not have a verizon
got the same call today...showed "Technical Support 800-922-0204" as the incoming, tried to send me to the web to claim my $45. Yeah, right...no way would Verizon be giving me money for nothing ! ! The only reason I even answered the phone was because I updated my Verizon phone 3 days ago, figured they might legitimately be trying to call me.
Contact the Federal Trade Commission about this number ESPECIALLY If you are over 60 and also contact your Attorney General's office in your state. They take spoofing, if that is what they are doing at this number, VERY seriously.
Call Federal Trade Commission and file a report with your State Attorney General. Please do this.FTC phone number1 877 382 4357 (FTC)
I put their number in my phone under "Spoof"That way if they call back, I know who they are.
that is verizons number when you call in, the number called from verizon is never 809220204... they call you from wierd numers like 1011.... SCAM
Scam, scam, scam!!!! This call was blocked by an app and went directly to voice mail. The voice mail stated that I had a $45 credit on my Verizon account and I would need to use it immediately. The voice on the message sounded as if it had intentionally had been altered. What is amazing about this is that I do NOT have a Verizon account and NEVER have. I have reported this to the FCC, as I do all of these calls, but this one seems especially egregious. From what I have been able to read online, many individuals have had fraudulent charges made to their credit/debit cards because of these calls. A word to the wise. Do not give out any information when asked and make sure your personal info is as protected as possible on your phone, computer, and any other mobile device. Also this is apparently a "legitimate" Verizon number so I am guessing that the number seen on caller ID has been faked.
I've gotten called twice the last two days. First time at 9:39 am, the next time it was 6:39 am. I am not amused. The first time it left half a choppy message about "go to my45verizon.com and log in for a $45 credit. We care about you." I have never been to my45verizon.com so I wouldn't have an account. Plus getting choppy robo voicemails is pretty suspicious.
