Called our business to state we won a Ford Explorer or a trip or $2500 cash and coming next Wed, 2/25 for a presentation.
I received this call just this morning and the lady started asking me questions. I've been a victim of this type of scam before so I wanted to make sure their company was legit so I googled them while she was talking and sure enough it said SCAM!! I told her I didn't feel comfortable answering these questions so she got really angry with me!! If someone doesn't feel comfortable then don't be getting angry at them for it!! So I hung up!! And for those who are saying it's a legit company, it's probably not for you to make an effort to come and post things like that. If it's not a scam then who cares what other people think.....you probably have other people you can victimize anyways!
Just called the 1800 number on there website...i said take me off the do not call list...she said thanks and it should take a couple of days...they just want you to meet with there people...the end.
After reading the whole thread, I came to a conclusion that most NEGATIVE responses came from the people who received a call from IMS/FFG about the scratch card giveaway but DID NOT agree to the said appointment. Saying it is a scam/etc etc but did not really experience first-hand what is happening. I have yet to see a negative remark who actually approved of the appointment and decided to back-out sensing a scam is on it's way. All negative remarks here are still heresay. A case of he-said she-said.
I had one of those utah numbers call where i work and unfortunately the secretary was gone so I had to answer the phone. I thought they were trying to bring the scratch off card for the company because I figured my company used that financial group for something and they were bringing by a friendly business token of appreciation or something crazy. So I was like yeah whatever bring it at such and such time. Then they started asking about my age and salary bracket, I ended up hanging up cause they wanted to know more about me and I wouldn't tell them they also said they wanted to give a presentation and I knew the bosses wouldn't be up for that anyways. They immediately called back and a coworker told them I wasn't here. They had a representative from the same city as my work call me the following week to tell me he was bringing in the ticket and that it was for me, not the company, and wanted to give me a presentation. The prizes sounded good but I felt it was a scam and wanted to research it before I let him come in. I found these threads and so I ended up telling him I couldn't meet with him because it's against company policy to meet for things not company related, to put us on the do not call list, and also that I did not want to participate. He said he noted it and thanked me for being polite. He showed up anyways at the original scheduled time, someone else at the firm told him I wasn't here, he called twice within the next 10 minutes trying to reach me, I assume he was waiting in the parking lot. This freaked me out and pissed me off so I found some info out about him from the numbers on the caller ID and turned him into the attourney generals office and I received a notice from them that they are investigating him. I would advise to hang up on these people at first contact.
They continually call and I continually hang up on them when they tell me who is calling. Don't waste your time. They are a marketing company using call centers in India. Their product is worthless and a scam.
Your all very uneducated, if you would let them come out you would learn that what they are doing is very helpful, instead of just assuming its a scam without giving them a chance...it costs you NOTHING! My dad lost alot of money in his 401K last year when the economy tanked. My plan with Fedreal Financial lost NOTHING! I have really been grateful for the information they brought out to me. Yea the scratch off card is kind of a waste but their retirement information is really valuable and if you were smart you would let them educate you since its apparently needed.
I don't know so many people writing their comments are hung up on the scratch prize. If you give the individual dropping off the scratch prize 20 minutes, you may learn something. Point... get past the prize. There are 7 areas they work in. My favorite was helping in tax free retirement. If you really want to know what they do, pick up the book by Patrick Kelly, "Tax-Free Retirement." You'll learn where this country is heading financially. You can change your own course. People that I have read on this blog complained by never came up with a solution. One simple question: You have $1 today and lost 50% of your money today, but gained 50% of it back tomorrow, how much money do you have? That is right, $0.75. Good luck in getting that other 50% loss back right away. How about never lossing it? Listen to them. The next time someone calls to give you a scratch card, please look at the big picture, it could change your financial future, and you may learn something too.
