T-mobile has the feature to block the number. I just got an upgrade to my phone yesterday and this feature is on it. I have already blocked 3 telemarketer callers.
I just got called for the first time today by this number. I just upgraded my T-mobile too, so this is too much of a coincidence. I didn't answer it because I was busy. I didn't recognize the number so I looked it up on whitepages.com (great free reverse look up service). It was an unlisted landline in Provo, UT. Well, I don't know anybody in Provo or anywhere else in UT. So I came here and read all these posts. I'm going to block the number. S/b end of story. If it is somebody doing contract work for T-mob, it doesn't sound like too professional of an operation.
I have T-Mobile too. The regime change has changed things. I've been a customer for 7 or 8 years. They have never bothered me in the past if I've put two payments together... never been hassled, never been a problem. Today they cut my outgoing calls and re-routed my outgoing calls to themselves. I reminded them how long I've been a customer and told them I'd pay both payments together. They tried getting $10 yesterday which they said they needed to make payment arrangements. I thanked them and repeated how I planed to pay and moved on with my day - kind but firm. They retaliated today, obviously. They attempted to word a post-dated check in other terms but I told them kind, but straight that 'post-dated checks are illegal' they dropped that. They repeated all their CSM training, always acknowledging they were so sorry for the inconvenience,... but after I reminded them about being a long-term, faithful customer, they re-engaged everything as a "one-time-courtesy." I've been a good customer. That was early this a.m. Now this afternoon I'm getting this number calling me 2X. It's obviously T-Mobile, and what cracks me up is --- one entry above says they were 'upgraded' in their service ( I read, now paying more for this upgrade plan) so that they can use the service to block the unwanted calls... and the unwanted calls are coming from the company charging them for the service. Reminds me of the bullies who make kids give them their lunch money so they won't beat them up on the playground...... Oh, I'm probably over-reacting. Tell ya what I'm gonna do (cus' I've ID'd the number on my phone....): I'm gonna pick up the call and hang up on it on free weekends, and push the refuse button on weekdays, then go about my day....oh, I feel so much better now. Thanks for listening.
I also have T Mobile and keep getting these calls. Haven't answered any yet since I didn't recognize it.
I got a call on my cellphone tonight at 8:55pm from 801-623-4631 and I didn't answer, because I didn't recognize the number. I looked up here and found 21 pages of complaints, so here's my report...I called my cell provider T-mobile and spoke with Connor in customer service. He said that he was glad I called and would open a ticket to see who is calling and burning up customer minutes with this kind of thing. I would suggest that anyone getting these calls should call their provider and open a ticket like I did. Maybe we can put a stop to it that way.Blessings and peace,Jack"Success is learning to deal with plan B." ~author unknown
This number has shown up on my T-Mobile phone the past two days. When I answered, they did not respond either time so I hung up. I placed my cell phone on the Nat'l DNC list a couple of months ago. Nice to know it does not work. I also have T Mobile and actually called yesterday to disconnect my service (in 3 days) and today someone called me with this "survery". Anyone call T Mobile about this?
I've had at least two calls from this number since I signed a new contract w/T-Mobile and got a free phone upgrade over the weekend. Thanks for all the feedback above -- I will definitely NOT be answering the phone when they call again.
