I inadvertently picked up the call to opt out with #2. Instead that led me to a foreign speaking person talking with me about medicare and lower back pain....which I told him I didn't have. He laughed, lots of deep breathing....I instructed him to put us on the do not call list. He did more deep breathing and laughing. I then proceed to tell him I'd report him to the Federall Govt' and he said" you just do that" I told him he was likely calling from a foreign country on a stolen phone number. Again told him not to call again;I'm sure he will. Darn scammers!
Ummmm... This IS their job: scamming. No different than ghetto kids who deal drugs on the street corner: they get up every day, dress appropriate to the job, go to the corner and sell their product without regard to the impact. It's not just an annoyance: they steal And do harm. If it makes you feel better to complain, then complain, but the way to fight back and regain control of your phone is to check your caller ID, eavesdrop on your call screening feature, then come here when the scammer hangs up, to verify that you did the right thing to ignore the call. if it is a real caller, you can always call them back and explain why you didn't answer, most people would understand.
I disagree. If you block one number, they will only fabricate another and maybe rook you next time... and better the devil you know than the devil you don't. You will never stop them all, and the method you suggest takes too much time and effort. I check my caller ID while eavesdropping on my call screening feature, and don't answer. They always hang up while the outgoing message is running, or start their recorded message at the same time mine is playing. Then I come here if it's a new number just to make sure I was right that it was a scammer... I recognized this one as a repeat. And many people don't have, or want to pay for, call blocking, or the call blocking option has a limited number of blocked numbers allowed on the list. Simple and elegant is always better. Caller ID, call screening, and don't pick up is easiest, fastest and most cheap. If you've logged over 500 calls... you're spending a lot of time on them, and it obviously isn't working anyway. Just ignore, and come here to validate your hunch.
If these idiots would check their records, they'd see I'm not old enough for Medicare, yet, so quit bugging me!I don't answer unknown calls, but do look them up here to see what's said about them.
Also - my caller ID indicated "cellular call." Would a legitimate business make its initial call from a cell phone? They don't have a land line? LOL.
left message saying, someone in your household asked for information regarding a back brace, you have been accepted and left number to call back but offer only good for 1 hour
Got a call today, 804 477 8007. I laughed and let it go to my answering machine and they hung up. I put it in my block caller list, now I'm free from this scammer.
Recording, stating "this is your call back for the number you........."I hung up before the message was finished. Just another scam Robo call
