It's funny that you say that it is legitimate yet this number accepts text messages so it must not be a land line. It screams "spam".

This number is clearly a scam, because being on disability income for a mental illness I am not allowed to have my banking in my name. It's in my mother's, as is all my financial stuff. And the only credit cards I use are prepaid gift cards, so I'm not even sure how they have my number.

Sounded like a foreign call.

Has called 20 times in last 4 days.

Got 4 calls from this number yesterday. I called the number to find out why they were suddenly calling me so often. When I called, instantly got a message to enter my card number. Of course I didn't. Finally got someone on the phone to speak with. Asked why they were calling and gave them my phone number. The lady asked then my name and the last 4 of my social. I told her I wasn't going to give her that. I've been getting a lot of phone calls from them and wanted to know why. She told me she couldn't help me if I didn't give her my name and last 4 of my social.

They're not legitimate. When I asked the man if it was a scam, he went silent, when I asked a second time, he started stuttering, finally when I said I was going to report him, he hung up. If it was a legitimate credit card or bank number, they would leave a number. They tried to tell me I had a payment due for Home Depot as well but it was a very minuscule amount and I had a verification that I already paid it.

Keep getting calls from 816-420-4632 about once a week even though the phone number is blocked, it doesn't block them from leaving recorded messages, but my phone does not ring, which I can live with. My number at one time belonged to my stupid ex nephew-in-law, the guy is an idiot, gave this number out like water, no wonder I get so many scammer calls. Just wish there was a way to block the messages, wasting my memory.

I got a call from 816-429-4632 today. The female on the other end had a very strong Chinese / Japanese / Asian accent and was very hard to understand. But, she did say she was with Citi Bank and was calling about my credit card with Home Depot. She claimed my balance was $55 when it is actually zero. She said that I could make a payment over the phone--no charge.I told her my account was at zero and hung up. From the other posts about 816-420-4632 on this site and others, it is clear that this is a dangerous and criminal scam. My guess is that these criminals hacked Citi Bank's customer database and that's how they got my name, phone number and the fact I have a Citi Bank card with Home Depot. It appears that this criminal operation has been on-going for a long time. The 816 area code is in Missouri, but the crooks may be using the number from another location. I am going to call Citi Bank and Home Depot and tell them about this attempt to get me to provide my password / pin number for the credit card. Or, they may say the call was legit.---but I doubt it.

816-420-4632 is blocked on my phone also but it doesn't mean they can't leave voice messages which they do on my phone, once a week they call but the people have some kind of accent.

Home Depot was hacked, and the information is being sold online through the 'dark web' in Russia and Romania.
