If you call back, automated message, they want to “help” you with your citi cards, and the first thing they ask is what are your account number.....GIVE ME A BREAK....SCAM..SCAM...BS
got a call this morning and yesterday saying my Citi Bank account is in collections. I have no Citi Bank credit card. Do not give them information they are a SCAM !!!!!!!
So I too had been getting many calls from this number with no voice mail. I read the posts here and figured it was probably an unwanted call. I finally answered and it was from Citibank. It was a valid call. I have 3 Citibank credit cards and two were recently set up. They told me the two new ones (and they did provide the last 4 digits) were overdue. I thought they were on auto pay but I guess not. To be safe I called the regular 800 number and took care of it.Some call centers only allow outbound calls so that may be why others on this post were not able to get through when calling the 816 number back. Because these posts go back more than a year, that is usually a good indication that it is not a scam as most boiler rooms are in and out before getting caught. I don't know why some people are getting these calls when they don't have an account unless they are a victim of identity theft. If you are getting calls from this number just pick it up as they will never leave a VM due to privacy concerns of their members.
They call on home phone, cell phone, mostly no message, a couple of times a message, they want to help with Citi accounts, so just for the hell of. It, I called, and after the computer welcome they wanted to know my account numbers. SCAM folks do not respond. I call bs
Don't have a CITI account in my name. I get calls at weird hours of the day. 9:15 pm at night, 7:15 am on Sunday morning. NO one is ever there. It just records on my answering machine and plays music for 10 minutes.
Called 5 times within 2 hours.
American Airlines via Citi....the charm of the continuing harrassment is that I paid my past due balance last week. I have until DECEMBER to make my new payment and they're already up my @$$. As soon as this card is paid off, done. Lost a customer.
It's Citibank. Pay your bills, they'll stop calling. Simple as that.
Received a call, they left voice mail, but all that was said was my name before it cut off.

This number comes up as a match to my name on Microsoft search results, and with a different age than MY true age. There is no other ME who has the same first, middle and last name spelled like this that I EVER came across. It's definitely a scam!
