Got a call from 817-444-5194. Didn't leave a voicemail. From looking at all the comments here, it's a good thing I didn't pick up.
Recording that it's the 2nd notice of my car warranty expiring. Obvious scam as my car is paid off and no warranty on it now. These calls are disruptive as they come to my work phone and home phone. They even ring in at our business phones that are not assigned to a person ie meeting rooms, break rooms. They are the phone world equivalent of spam and junk mail.
OK there Sheik - You've got issues obviously - but let's stick to the real matter at hand and keep the stand up bits for another forum please. (If you can find one where they will appreciate a very juvenile, middle school attempt at humor)I suggest going to some of the websites given by others who've posted 'legitimate' messages on this board and file complaints. Another idea which I have not tried yet but may if the phone calls continue much longer - send an e-mail with a link to this page to your LOCAL TV NEWS station. They frequently do consumer stories like this and they typically know the best & quickest way to get things done. If people all over the country start doing that and this fraudulent company starts getting bad press not only on-line but on TV, maybe either the powers-that-be will either shut them down or they'll slink off on their own.
Obviously "Cindy Davis" is either getting the sh*t end of the stick in this whole thing or is not even connected with that number. Do you really think she's in on this?? I doubt if the "real" Cindy Davis & the one listed @ this number are even the same person. Remember - this is a SCAM and they know how to get around the systems. They have gotten around the Do Not Call lists & they have aquired tons of personal cell phone #'s and are calling them - also not allowed - and so far they are getting away with it all. I don't think "Cindy" is just sitting there going along with all this willingly - do you?
They just called my wife telling her to renew a car warranty, she said they were being rather rude, so i attempting to call them back only to find the number disconnected, im currently deployed to Iraq, and have minimal access to phone and internet, so this is a big hassle for me, anyone know whats up with this, or a working number that i can contact these people at?
