These idiots do not give up!!! I do not owe any money, have excellent credit, don't know who they are looking for, don't care and do not answer any calls from them, area codes I do not recognize or jerks that do not leave a message, simple as that. Have no time to play phone games with them either. IF YOU ANSWER, THEY HAVE NOW VERIFIED YOUR NAME AND NUMBER -- LET THEM HANG!!!
According to our caller ID it's Portfolio Recovery, and they have called 26 times in the past month without leaving a message.
817-479-9154. They called me again this morning at 8:31. Asked again for a Margaret. I told the female on the phone that no Margaret lived here, and I told her that yesterday, the day before, and several times last week and last month and last year. There is no Margaret here. Remove my number from your data base and do not call me again. Of course that is not going to happen. They get a name on an old debt in a certain town and get all the numbers for the last name on the debt and continue to call all the numbers asking for the person who supposedly owed the debt. I know it is not my debt they are calling about and I know my name is not Margaret..I am on every do not call list imaginable. I have notified the attorney general's office in my state. I have filed each and every complaint possible but all to no avail. If I am near my telephone with caller ID I do not answer, but if the call comes in and I am nearer another phone I have no way of knowing who or what it is.I guess my next maneuver will be to file a rip off report and see if that will stop them.
Portfolio AGAIN! I will have to check my Voice mail for Messages (Sarcasm) IF THEY WERE LEGITIMATE THEY WOULD LEAVE MESSAGES (THINK ABOUT THAT!)
Actually. . . . They must sue you in the county inwhich you reside and notify you os said intent to sue as serving papers to you. You then file a reply within the 30 days time limit pointing out that the SOL has expired and the judge dismisses the suit on those grounds. ie: it never makes it to court.
I see my friends from Portfolio Recovery [***] called again...they really need to get with MODERN TECHNOLOGY! I don't answer my phone...I have MAGIC JACK and if you don't leave a VOICE MESSAGE which Goes to my E-MAIL FILE You are "IGNORED"!!!
Got a call from them on a Sunday morning. Asked for a person that has not had the name they asked for them by for over 13 years. Anything they are calling on for that one is far gone from the statute of limitations for most debts. Not to mention if they really knew their stuff they would have been aware of the name change. It isn't that hard to find those types of things out. I simply told them that no one by that name lived here. It was the truth.
