I received a call at 9:25pm from this number on my cell phone. That's right..9:25pm. It is ILLEGAL for these people to call before 8am and after 9pm according to your local time if this is, in fact, a business. Unfortunetly, I had my phone on loud (my fault) and next to me as I was trying to rock my baby to sleep. This call woke my almost sleeping daughter up and she was fussy for quite some time afterward. On top of it all, when I answered, preparing to quietly and matter-of-factly ask these people what the hell they are doing calling so late, no one was on the other end. When I called back, it said this is not a working number. Are AUTOMATED MACHINES calling me at 9:30 at night?! I have not purchased or updated any type of insurance in recent years (if these people are conducting surveys for this purpose) and will be looking for a number that actually WORKS tomorrow to get a hold of these people and let them know that calling at such hours is ridiculous and unappreciated.
Calls everyday sometimes 2 or 3 times. I asked who are you?...Her reply was "are you the decision maker in your household in your state of XX?"....I said "STOP-calling me, you have called me everyday, several times a day and I'm sick of it"...she replied "Well, I just want to ask you a couple of questions about decisions being made in your home"...I screamed "NO-NO-NO and hung up on her"....Now they are calling again!!! I want these people to stop harrassing this home!! Calling early in the morning until late at night.
I got a call from this number. The female on the line said she was with Humana and needed to ask me some questions. The questions were quite personal so I asked her what the purpose of them was. She then hung up. I found this thread and noticed the number of different health insurance providers this outfit is saying they represent. I contacted Humana, the provider of my Medicare insurance, and they told me they never heard of DSS Research. Don't give these folks any personal info.
If they are legit, why are they calling people who have never corresponded with them? They're fishing for business and that spells scam to me. Why not use your legit company name?
Hi there [***]. I work for a research company and before you ask yes we are ligt and are paid about eight dollars an hour to sit in front or a computer that is pre loaded with questions we are to ask verbatim and we have a dialer that dials all calls from a block of numbers the client provides us. We are never told who the client is so we or our respondents can't bias the surveys. Most ligaments firms do follow all of the rules set out by the fcc and are not rude and just so you know the client desides if we can leave msgs most say no msgs. Thanks
Many calls from this number within the past week. Most likely DSS Research. If the calls continue might go on their website and contact them with just as many emails. Search DSS Research online and you'll see their website with location, phone number, and ways to contact them.
When my phone comes up as a long distance number I answer the phone very softly and polity. They start talking, I interrupt and ask them In a very quiet voice to the point I know that they have to turn there volume up on there headset, can you hear me.. Then I take my Walmart boat horn blaster, you know the one that will make you jump out of your skin, put it up to the phone and, well you get the idea. Then thank them for your pleasure and entertainment. They get soooooooo mad. You will be laughing the rest of the evening with the comments they make back to you.....
