True about the verbal contract, but some people are not aware of this, particularly older people or people who aren't informed. They can be easily scared and if someone tells them they agreed to something and they owe money, they may very well be frightened into sending the money. The same type thing was tried on me many years ago by a door to door salesman. I was very young at the time and it did scare me. I was in my very early 20's. I am now 77 and it would take a lot to scare me. :)

Called offering savings promotions on our Spectrum account, When I asked if he was really with Spectrum/Time Warner, he said no, but with Direct TV with a promotion that could save us money. Told him no, he said thanks, and ended the call. Middle-eastern accent.

Got a call about 7:35PM. Caller said name was Bob Anderson in a strong asian accent. Said he was with ATT. I hung up.

sounded Indian, calling about some cable internet. Asked to be taken off their list, said they don't have a list and actually argued with me......crap call.....

844-844-0091 has called many times.I never pickup callers unknown to me and this one never leaves a message.And the 'Yes' scam is nothing new.

Rang twice and hung up before the answering machine kicked in.

They called me tonight and said they were from spectrum I hung up

Had a strong accent not from this area. Offered me a Spectrum deal for 89.99. I have called them myself and they could not give me such a deal...they also did not know what services I currently had. I asked for there phone number which was clearly on my caller id and they hung up.

I answered the phone and they held it for 20 seconds and hung up. I attempted to call the number from another phone and it went straight to a busy signal
