CID shows Root Technology; call came while I was not at home and answering machine currently broken. Sounds like a computer scam from what others have said.
A pre-recorded message about someone trying to hack my computer. Oriented to Windows OS. "If we've called you by mistake, please ignore this call." OK, I will, and I encourage everyone else to do the same.
i've received the same message from that number, and, I believe, from other numbers in the past.
Caller ID showed Root Technology. I don't know any Root Technology or anyone in New York. Blocked area code 845.
This fake "microsoft" scam continues! This is the second time they've called. I don't even have a Windows computer.

Call received at 09:43 a.m. on Wednesday, 18 December 2024. No caller identifier was given, so I let the answering machine pick up. No message was left. The call originated in Calgary, AB.
