this call won't stop calling. Don't fall into what ever their calling for. this is a bull- [***] call.
Answered their initial call...about lowering my Com Ed Bill. Told them I was on DNC list and not to call again. I blocked the number. However, since the first of July, they have called at lest 10 more times. The call blocker disconnects after one ring..which we see on the CID that they called. This is pure and simple TELEPHONE HARASSMENT" . As soon as I can determine the carrier, I will file a harassment complaint with their carrier...and maybe with the Arlington Heights police. This is criminal
1st time for this 1 & BLOCKED. This was on 7/25/16 @ 3:45 PM CT. From what I'm seeing, it's either the infamous "Com Ed" scam or Survey Sampling Int. Whatever it is, WHY would the # come up for Arlington hts?
Woman with heavy accent claimed she was from Com Ed to give me a reduced rate. Just had to verify my information. I said I'm not changing companies. She claimed no, it was indeed Com Ed. Trouble was they used my son's name and then asked for my account number. I hung up.
My call from SSI at 637-5432 arrived at about 1:09 PM on Tuesday July 2, 2016.I was immediately suspicious that the Caller ID did not contain an area code, and also the caller spoke with a heavy accent (Phillipino?). He said that he was calling from ComEd, and reported that I was going to receive an automatic rate reduction. I asked who he was calling from again, then he gave: Commonwealth Edison. He confirmed the name on my ComEd bill, including my middle initial, and street address -- but he did not have the slightly different billing address to which ComEd sends my bills, Ding, ding... alarm bells got louder in my head. He said the only way I could get the rate reduction was bv giving my account number. I told him that ComEd adjusts the bill all by themselves whenever there is a rate change up or down, but only after rate change approval of the Illinois Commerce Commission. ComEd does call me first to ask my account number, which they clearly have in their records. More alarm bells. He again said the only way that I could get the rate reduction was to provide the account number, and that I would receive a follow-up call when he hung up to confirm the rate reductiuon. At that point I just hung up. The follow-up call would no doubt have been a carefully worded and recorded call to confirm the change of electrical service provider ... no thank you!How many gullible people with a serious need for a rate reduction will be swindled by these crooks?
Unwelcome call on my unlisted land line @ 6:48 p.m. on 8/2/2016. I hate running to see who is calling. This is very annoying. I will block it, but really I can only block 250 calls and I keep getting 5-10 calls a day. This is crazy. Sometimes I delete a number from months ago only to have to re-block it. Some of them are the similar exchanges. Thank you for this site that helps us identify these spam callers.
Have received several calls from this number over the last couple weeks which we have not answered. They have not left a message on the answering machine.
