A Dish technician was at my house to do some work today, and while he was there I received a call from the subcontractor he works for, telling me that I would receive a call later today from an 866 number so I could rate his work. I was waiting for an 866 call, so when this number called I didn't answer, since no info was provided on caller ID. When the message started, it was from Dish, but I was too late to be able to answer the call.

After getting MULTIPLE hang up calls in a single day (not even three hours apart) as though from some shady debt collector, I looked up the number and found it really truly is Dish Network calling. Since I don't have Dish and don't intend to get Dish, I called them to get my number removed... and to clear up any misunderstanding that may have placed my number in connection with someone's actual service request. After a lot of runaround I finally got through to someone who confirmed my number and agreed to put my number on the do not call list. Then EVEN AS I'VE BEEN WRITING THIS, guess what happened. That's right. THEY CALLED ME AGAIN. Well, this time I answered, ready to chew someone out and it was a freaking survey about my call that I'd just ended.

I told the nice gentleman caller that as soon as I finished my Curry and Rice I'd call him back. LOL

This was a legitimate call from Dish Network confirming my service appointment.

Did not answer. When I called back, a recording said, "This number is not in service."

This was follow up call from Dish after we had work done by them.

Bogus Dish Network. Scammers will often use the names of legitimate businesses. Don't give them the satisfaction of answering. Report scam to federal agencies.

This caller 855-531-3493 has been calling two and three times a day. 04.08.2017

I answered with my standard greeting, there was an extremely long pause. I finally said "hello" again, and got a pre-recorded message: "Hello, this is an important message from Dish, your TV provider ..." I hung up. We are a business and do not have TV, much less through Dish.
