The exact message Sandy quoted has been left on my answering machine several times a week for several months. When I return the call, they can't legally give me a reason for their call unless I verify my name and address.

I get the same calls, but I have a brand new number and I owe no one money so why am I getting these calls? When I picked up I am on hold for a while, until I tire of waiting and hang up.

The call comes at the same time every night, night after night. There are some calls during the day left on the answer machine also. The call is recorded. If you pick it up while the guy is talking you won't get through. the caller says "Hi, this is Timothy please press 1 to speak to a representative at this time, otherwise please call me at my toll free number 888 887 5430. Please return my call, thank you." ------ same as Sandy's call.I called the number today....... they wanted my son, who hasn't lived here in years. I was told that it was a business matter and they couldn't discuss it. As far as I'm concerned, no info TO me, no info FROM me.

I get these same calls and they leave an automated message from Timothy saying to return the call to 18888875430. I got one at 8:30 am on Saturday. Then they called again at 8:30 am on Monday. I returned the call on my caller ID 15152222918 and they said they were with "consumer servicing group." I hung up on them because I know it is something bogus. If they were legit, they would leave a real message identifying who they are.... They called again twice on Tuesday but did not leave messages.

Same thing here. We've written letters and demanded to be taken off their list to no avail. Now they switched to Wendy at 800-899-7051 after I told them it was not me and to sue me if they really thought it was.

Same here. I waste money erasing their annoying messages because I have a cell phone they're calling me on. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I finally called them back and it's not during their business hours!! Somebody ought to pass a law against these idiots.

Caller claiming to be Gary Ballard from Wells Fargo Bank, I happen to be just fine with my Wells Fargo accts... When I called 888 887 5430,(suppose to press #1,but had not yet) a lady came on when I asked if this was Wells Fargo, she sd " NO".. I happen to have worked for WFB at one point and know that they do mostly in house collections. My next call will be to WFB to let them know about this person claiming to be them.. OOPPPS on his part... The girl that answered verified that she is with CBE, she wanted all kinds of info from me.. Sorry, talk to the tone...

Call comes from "Dan" at 1-888-887-5430 any time of the day or night, including weekends. Most of the time, we're asked to "press 5 to speak to a counselor." Other we're asked to call this number to speak to Dan directly. We don't anything to anybody, so I have no idea why a collection agency would be calling us. To whom can we report this to get them to STOP?
