I got the same call this morning. Same line of BS. Same guy, Bill Russell. I feel bad for the guy -- even after winning 11 NBA titles with the Boston Celtics, he has been reduced to this. :)There are similar reports at other forums. I have not called back, nor will I. Based on what I've read, Including DK's earlier post, I think this sounds like an Identity Theft scam.
Said I won a Ford Explorer and they tried to reach me by mail. Also stated that I entered a contest at a mall or on line. Beware! This is a scam and the name Bill Russell keeps coming up. Don't call. It makes my skin crawl that they have my number. Did you get a call from Rachael at card member services? That's bogus too!
got the same message: 2015 Ford Explorer or 3 other prizes.. Filled out form at mall or online... Bill Russel Prize director... It was hilarious... Before the message there's some back and forth heard between an older woman and this man who left the message.. Quite the professional operation.
