I got a call from this number also claiming to be from Comcast. Note that I have 20 years of IT (tech) experience. I asked them to prove they are Comcast and they provided my address and the last 4 numbers of my Comcast account. She said there was an issue with my internet service although I had not experienced any and didn't report any. (My TV service was acting up recently and I insisted that they send a new box which they did. The person on the phone also knew this information without me telling them, I asked.)They scheduled a visit for 2 days later. Today I felt a little suspicious about it so I google the phone number and found this page. I then opened a live chat with Comcast online and the chat rep confirmed the Comcast tech visit and the reason.I decided to cancel the visit anyway. This isn't a scam but I don't need the visit. I am using a personally purchased, non-Comcast modem so there is nothing in my house other than my modem and their TV box.
