caller ID shows San Diego CA, no response upon answering. DNC list is useless.

Salvation Army and other charities do not use telemarketers. This is a new scam.Give to your home charities. Do not give any info on phone. Don't answer, don't call back and try and talk to them, all they want is to know its a working number and they resell to other telemarketers. Reputable charities DO NOT call over the phone. It's a scam. Just don't answer, after awhile it will slow down.

Most are political calls. I think most know your affiliation .....only one call fromTrump. Hillary better never. Ha! Breast cancer, who hung up on me when I told her we give to kidney because I'd just had transplant from my daughter. She got mad bad word and hung up. I said you dont understand that. I got a call from 858-412-0172 and the caller id said San Diego, Ca. Well I don't know anyone in San Diego, Ca. so I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. By the way, I live in Virginia.

Just another spoofing call. The first call is a hang up after you answer. This tells the telemarketer that your number is a live one. The second call usually has a pleasant speaking person trying to be your friend and get information from you. Please do not fall for this scam. Legitimate charities or contests do not operate this way. If it seems to good to be true it is.
