Citibank - claim to be — about Sears account — regular pest — call repeatedly on my landline and cell — do not leave message when not answered — calls come in at all hours - as late as 9 pm
I understand people are choosing cell phones vs land lines for their phone services now; however, I don't appreciate the cell companies selling our numbers to people I don't know and them calling 90 times a day and/or hanging up when I do answer. I don't answer calls I don't know or not in my phone book.
The scammers use autodialers that simply dial every possible number within an area code and exchange, hoping a gullible person will answer and send the scammers some money.They aren't buying any information from the cell phone companies.However, the scammers might have access to marketing information.
Called by cell phone. I didn't recognize the number so I did not answer. After reading the comments, I'm glad I ignored the call.
