wantsa me to call back regarding "important account information". I have no account with wells fargo bank...I think someones phishing and leaving his number to cover his tracks.
Received call from 866-272-7132. I don't answer unidentified calls. Follow my lead. Look up all unidentified call on the Internet before wasting your time and minutes.
Total Scam. I used my cc today and it was declined. Apparently I never received last months bill and went on line, saw it was overdue, paid instantly. But someone must be monitoring those "declined" issues and praying on that. Got a call this afternoon from "Wells Fargo" and it wasn't them. Asked all sorts of questions and was a total scam.
Wells Fargo to called and I made arrangements to pay the bill in one week. The next day they call again. I said "I made arrangements to pay this, didn't you see the notes?" She said yes but until the bill is paid we call every day! I no longer take calls from Wells Fargo or I hang up on them. It is un-necessary to harrass every day when arrangements have been made. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE BANK!
I get lots of calls from 866 numbers and don't answer. I happen to know this one is Wells Fargo. But if they don't leave a message on your voicemail, it's usually a scam or a threat or offering something you don't need. Otherwise, if they have an account to discuss with you and they are legit, they'll leave their name and number on the voicemail.
Legit Wells Fargo number. I have auto pay set up but apparently they charged me a 100.00 annual fee to use their credit line and my auto pay didn't cover the extra 100.00 so they considered me in default. They are a little over dramatic (and could have emailed or sent a letter first) but I paid over the phone and the credit is showing up on my Wells Fargo online account so it is all legit. Wells Fargo has bought other companies so even if you don't have a Wells Fargo account, make sure they didn't purchase a company you do have an account with and you just don't know it yet.
