Yes, it's Bank of America, confirming/finalizing an online car loan application.

Legitimate call from BofA car loan service. Applied online last night and on the approval page, it said that a representative will call within a business day to complete the process.

Got a call from this number about a car loan I didn't ask for. Called BOA and they confirmed it is a scam.

I left a note that this was a scam 45 minutes ago and just realized that the number is legit after talking to another person at BOA. Sorry for the confusion.

- I just received a call from 866-533-0896- If I am not expecting a call I never pick up (unless the number is saved in my phone), and I never give out information. There are to many scams. Anyway, a message was left stating this was Bank of America calling regarding a recent auto loan.- I contacted Bank of America and they stated that there were no calls made to me regarding an auto loan.NOTE: Bank of America does not have a way to search a phone number you provide because they have thousand of numbers assigned to the company. Also, most companies cannot search all phone numbers because they have a published list of numbers that employees hand out. The only people in a company that can access all numbers are the network engineers who have access to the telephone server, and unless they have the education to work on the telephone network and servers, it will be the telephone company they use to manager the phone lines and servers…- Your best bet to ensure your security is to use a number that you know is safe. Do not respond to the call or message. Go to the Bank of America website or the company website you are dealing with and attain the customer service number. They will be able to provide you with a direct number or transfer you to the department.

I applied for a car loan. It was an automated called reminding to add BoA as lienholder once title is received.

This is absurd!!! I've gotten calls for weeks from this number and 800 Notes?Annoying!!

I got this phone number in a text message and called it. Press '1' for English and then asks if you are "insert your name here". You press '1' to acknowledge and then it tells you if you were approved for your auto loan or not. That's it.
