UPS is a kind of scam. Canada duties are bigger scam ! We live in a world full of scams and of course full of [***].

Yah sounds like UPS, as I never had this issue till I received a package for the states. So now they send me a bill. I ignore it, and after what 5 years they will too. I never told them to clear it so too bad for them.

I had a similar experience. I received a shipment from UPS (duties. Ordered in the U.S and delivered in Canada) at home and as I understand it, I don't get the package unless I pay on the spot - which I did. Can't remember if it was cheque/visa. Pretty cheque. This was a couple of months ago. Now, they're claiming I didn't pay and my cheque is floating around somewhere and they're telling me to pay and if they double charge they'll reimburse me. Not that I don't believe them but why should I put myself in a position to chase them for money as far as I'm concerned I gave them already? Is it my problem they misplaced the cheque? I called them and they couldn't really tell me the situation. I suggested they run a trace with the driver but were reluctant. I'm sorry. I feel this is unacceptable. Now they're after me but I want answers first.Any suggestions?

I keep getting a phone call from this number. It is an automated message saying "This is UPS...if I Have reached the Accounts Payable Office please press 1..." I hang up every time. But once I called back, it said my call could not be completed as dialed. I do not think this is a legitimate number at all.

I got the same thing, only I recieved an invoice in the mail first stating that I owe 21.87 in brokerage fees, then started receiving the calls. Calling the number wont do anything, its an outbound number only with an automated message. I dont mind paying the fees, but it seems sketchy. The invoice gives no "accepted methods of payment" or even anything saying who to make a check payable to, therefore it seems the only way I can pay it is in cash, which I dont like because theres no transaction record. I have noticed however, since I got this bill, I havnt been recieving orders from overseas, and almost think that customs is holding them for "ransom" (the amount I owe)

yea, i get the call too...they said i owed (ball park here..) 98 bucks.But i already paid... 70....Oh so you can just pay us 28 they say... sure I say.... show me an invoice...(which took days)Not only were the actual customs (GST) charges higher than I originally paid by about $10, they wanted to increase their fee also!! Needless to say i was having none of that.I paid the increased customs fees, nothing more.I still get calls.Lesson learned.NEVER USE UPS.
