I received a voicemail from a caller who identified themselves as Linda with Capital One. I called back and discovered that their automated answering system that asks for the last 4-digits of the card number is the exact same voice that answers the automated system for the legitimate Capital one. These crooks are good! I hung up and didn't enter the last 4 digits of my card number and called Capital One's tel number listed on my statement and reported it. The customer service rep with whom I spoke asked me to report it to their fraud department: abuse@capitalone.com

Also got the exact message..“Hi this is Linda we would like to discuss solutions regarding an important business matter with capital one please call us back at 1-866-953-7906 to discuss further again the phone number is 1-866-953-7906 thank you”They must have a lot of Linda’s working there. Scammers

Thank you for the info! These folks have been harassing me incessantly. I have an introductory Capital One account, opened for the purpose of rebuilding my credit. I am not about to let these scammers wreck it further. I am in the habit of contacting my creditors directly with the numbers provided on my statements anyway. But your experience was helpful and the information good to know.

This robocaller Linda leaves a message identical to what everyone in the long past here has stated.I do have a closed account with capital one but this daily call is obviously harassment by a fake company working out of Marion OH to scam you. There is a website harassmentbycapitalone that can verify this ongoing problem,so DON"T call them at the number given!

This call came in on my WORK phone from 1-800-955-6600. "Linda" cited Capital One business and gave the call back number as 866-953-7906. I think this is a scam but I will not be calling to find out.

Do NOT give these people your info, its a scam. BLOCK the number.

You are a moron for two reasons:1. "Haft" is not a word. Go back to school. 2. If you are contacted by someone with an unfamiliar phone number, you should be suspicious. When they ask for personal information such as the last 4 digits of your social, you should hang up!

No, it's a scam. I contacted the number on the back of my card after I received this phone call.My accounts are in good standing and the CSR said this number is not associated with Capital One.ALWAYS call the number on the back of your card to verify this. DO NOT give out your 16 digit account number, DOB or SSN just because someone calls and asks for it.Please report this number to the FCC and abuse@capitalone.comCommon sense!
