Automsg left voicemail on a business phone, to call them back. I called and spoke to "Michelle". I told her one of our employees may have left this number as their contact number and please don't call here again. She took my number and said it would probably take up to (I forgot how long 7-14) days before we stop getting calls. This would be great, if I'd not already been told this a few months back when I told them to remove the number the first time. I know for certain one of our employees did have a bankrupty and account with Capitol One. And another employee had a credit card with them, who possibly may have been behind in payments.

This is NOT Capital One. I have 2 cards with them and have already talked with customer service. This is not their number. 866-953-7906. They call my cell showing 813-202-7244. Yes I am behind on my payments due to surgery, but they have informed me to ignore these calls. Capital One is working with me on my payments.

I do not have a credit card at all. With no one. So to be behind on my payment is impossible. What is your explanation for that?

It is capitol one..I verified without using account numbers and ss because I was worried about a scam..Linda is used for collection calls..I had forgot a payment

Even if it was real, they wouldn't be asking for personal information like a social security number. And most of the people they are calling don't even have capitol one cards. I don't and they call me anyway!

just got a new iphone yesterday and today i immediately got bombarded with phone calls from 866-953-7906. my voice mail isn't set up yet and i did not answer the calls because i didn't recognize the number. so here i am reading all the comments here about a capital one scam. i've blocked the caller, don't know if it's linda, but it's pretty safe to assume it is her. i do not own a capital one credit card but i hope all future calls will be blocked.

I also do not have an account with Cap One, haven't in 9 years... sounds like the Wells Fargo one

I just received a phone call from "Capital One" regarding my account and the number was 866-953-7906. This was a scam.....

I called the 866-953-7906 number because Linda left a message... I called it, gave my name and verified who I was with the last 4 digits of my social sec#. I didn't give him my acct. number. I said "look it up" and I gave the number Linda used to leave a msg. He said my acct. balance was zero, must have been a mistake". Wow! I was definitely feeling scammed!!! And, of course I was feeling like an idiot for giving the last 4 digits of my social. So I called the Capital One number for customer service (found it online at Capital One). I went through several account reps... My first main question was: is 866-953-7906 a legitimate Capital One phone number... yes it is. I didn't have to give an acct. number but they found 3 accts using my home number... mine, my wife's, and her son's... My acct. was fine... the phone call was for the son.
