also a call from 869-999-999.. "SIMULTANEOUSLY !!" ...on both my cell AND LANDLINE...at the same TIME!!!!! has happened twice in the month of March 2014... I didn't answer either time!!!

Just answered the call as I normally don't answer calls from places I don't know but was just bored. This foreign guy said he was from geek squad and needed to check my computer. He wanted me to turn it on and I just hung up on him. If they call again I'm gonna have alittle fun with them

Got several calls from this number answered twice. Both times computer scammers. Poor people having to earn money doing this. Or it's probably prison labor from a third world country.

Called, no message left.

I received the first call on 3/12/14 and the guy said that my computer sent him a mal-ware distress code and he need to fix my computer. He wanted me to let him have remote access to my computer to fix the problem. I asked him what was the IP address to my computer that sent him the message and he could not provide. I hung up. He called the next day I rejected the call because I was waiting on an e-mail response from McAfee to verify if they had them to call. 3rd day He put his supervisor on the phone and I told him to send me an e-mail stating which computer he needed to access and he asked for my e-mail address. I told him that if he was with McAfee he should have my e-mail address. I hung up and put them on call reject.

I receive a call from 869-999-9999 at least once a day and it's been gOing on for like a month now. Before that I was getting calls from 888-888-8888. Inever answer /call back numbers I don't know and doesn't leave a message. I figure if they really need to talk to me they'll leave a message. With all the different scams out there that's the only way to be safe.

They call every day.First they claimed to be Microsoft. Now they are Geek Squad. Hanging up on live person does not deter them. I asked real Geek Squad in Best Buy what to say to get them to stop. No help except to have the number blocked. Thank you for posting here warnings about them. Always an Indian accent reading from a script until I talk. Normally a woman. They call 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. I wanted the real Geek Squad to give me something to say to scare them, but that did not happen.

Received a call from them and answered (I do business internationally, thought it might be a contact), and the guy tried to tell me my pc had malware. This is a scam and I told him so. I have noticed that they call Friday nights because that's when people are relaxed, and banks are closed for 2 days so if they can get your banking information, they have 2 days to use it. Best defense - answer the call, tell them 'I know this is a scam, don't call here again.' They will stop calling. They don't want to be traced back.

869-999-9999 called my Land Line 12:50 PM (AZ time) 3/15/14 CID read 'ST KITT & NEVIS' --- looked suspect, did not answer, no msg left. Think there is a need for a call type of 'scammer' ... Thanks 800 notes folks ;-)
