This IS A legit company, It is a fraud detection agency. There was unauthorized activity on my debit card and the agency caught it.I received a call from this number on a Saturday before the banks opened. I'm leary of such calls so I tried to check it online - I ended up here. There was a case number but I didn't have anything to write it down on. When the bank opened I called them and with it being a phone call the bank told me of a charge but couldn't tell me who it was so I wasn't sure if it was a charge I'd made or not. Thankfully the company called back and we got it settled. That number was from 800-279-2674.

even though you knew this call was, what were your words? Oh that's right "My call was legit", you still looked up the number? Tell me do you look up every number that calls you that is "legit"?

This is a fraud detection company used by the bank that issues my debit card attached to my student loan/financial aid account. They simply want to verify transactions due to unusual activity (because money was just refunded, the card hasn't been used for some time). You can call your bank directly to verify if you feel better about it, as I did, and remember that this may be a bank associated with a CC instead of just your regular debit card. They did not ask me for anything except the case number they provided, and simply to verify yes or no, whether the charges were legit.

This is complete bull!!! No credit card company would use an automated system to verify your zip code! They need this information to access your account and validate the transaction! All of the positive references below are totally made up to make you think it is legit - it is not legit!!!

Oh, good grief - yes, it's a legitimate company. They contract for fraud calls for various credit unions including mine. The robot didn't ask for any personal info at all except my billing zipcode, and then verified my last three transactions. Pretty poor scammers if you ask me - no account info requested (they validate off your phone number), no other dubious behavior. Sometimes calls are actually OK - not everything is scam.

THIS IS BULL DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THIS!!!

They left a message on my husband's phone for me (my name not his), last four digits of my debit card, and a transaction # to call back about fraudulent charges on my account. I called my bank by the number on the back of my card and was told my account was flagged, I verified the last three purchases I made, then the bank told me of the suspicious charge (which was good) so was the phone message but I would always only call your bank direct as it could have easily been a phishing scam as the last four digits pop up on most receipts.

I have been to 3 stores today and received 3 calls from this number. As far as i am concerned, THEY are the fraud and they are stalking me! Reporting them to my credit union.

This is not true. This is a legitimate company... I've received calls from the scammers your talking about in regards to M&T Bank claiming my card was on hold when I didn't even have an account with them. When I first received a call from this number, I called my bank to make sure it wasn't a scam and they told me it was their outsourced fraud protection company. But on a side note... if you're ever not sure, just call your bank and they can tell you! Simple as that.
