I'm ALMOST under the impression that the people making the calls might even think they work for a legitimate company, but this number is not legit/

This is NOT a legitatimate company. DO NOT give them any information. They are using this all over the country and do not know anything about the people they are calling!!! Call your bank to check it out!! Don't be fooled, these scammers are very good and even have automated call systems. I would think even the pople on here responding that it is for real are probably them, BSing you.

I have used my debit card a few times in a row to pay some bills and made some online purchases on Ebay. I received a call from 877-253-8964. It was automated and they wanted my billing zip code. It didn't seem legit so I hung up and called my bank. The bank said there were no holds on the acct and that they do not use an outside company for fraud detection. She said the # was not familiar to her. So IDK about them being a legitimate company, I called the # back after speaking with my bank and they ask for a case # and without that you can't get through the system. If they are a legit company focused on protecting my account why wouldn't they allow you to at least reach a human? Sounds shady and I'm blocking this number.

I was wrong earlier. This IS a legitimate company as my bank determined a specific transaction may have been fraudulent and in fact it was.

Had a call from this number this morning. I thought it might be an elaborate phishing attempt and terminated the call, but checked out bank account and there was an irregular "pre-authorized transaction" on my wife's card. They called again and left a message, so yes, it seems it is legit. We cancelled the card...for the 2nd time this year...grrr!

After reading all the comments for this number on this site, I am not sure what to think. I made a credit card purchase last Friday and had MY Bank call me on Saturday questioning several transactions, including the legitimate one I made the day before and several others which were fraudulent. On Monday I had a phone message at my work number to call this number back with a given case number. I do not give out my work number to credit card companies. This situation appears to me to be a phishing scam to verify identity theft info - so I did not return the call.

Called number and they detected 3 charges on my card. They said they may put a temp hold on account. Asked if I approve of these charges and yes. So I may continue to use my card.I think the donation for the Philippines got screwed up. So all is ok and this is legit.

It is a legit call. I called them back and detected fraud. got it cleared up. No they didn't ask for ss# or any of that. Just my zip code. Banks outsource to these companies for risk management as they call it. No worries!

I think you are right. This is not a legit. It appears that calls are being made on fridays and the weekend.Anyone receiving such calls should NOT give them any info no matter what they say. Hang up and CALL YOUR BANK

These people at 877-253-8964 called my dad's house and said there had been fraud and his bank accounts would be frozen. I called them back and did not have a number they supposedly gave to his nurse. They also called at 8 AM and the nurse was not up yet. His bank said all was OK and he does not have a debit card. I cannot find any problem. I am considering this call to be a fraud.
