Seems like a fraud! We received a very frightening call from a robot giving this number. Our daughter is in Korea, and it said her debit card was "on hold" because of a suspicious transaction. We made the mistake of picking up the phone, so the voice mail didn't record the whole message, and we couldn't write down the "transaction number" fast enough. They don't repeat the number to call back or the transaction number! We messaged our daughter, and she contacted the bank via their regular number on Skype. She was told the card was not on hold.
Which means nothing. Legit for you doesn't mean legit for all as legit numbers are routinely spoofed
WARNING!While the call may have been legitimate for the previous two posters it is always best you call the number on the back of your credit card. The fact that the two previous posters mentioned that everything was cleared up and the customer care associates were helpful is suspect due to a carefully crafted detailed post. While the call may have been legitimate for them does not mean it is legitimate for others. Should you get one of these calls contact your local bank branch or call the number on the back of the credit card. This is another sason for scams so be safe not sorry.
I received a fraud detection notice from this company. I called my bank and they told me they didn't have a flag on my account. So the notice is fraudulant.
Called them back and they said they were a fraud detection company for my bank. He gave me the company's name as CNS eNFACT. Tried to do a reverse search on the number with no result other than it's "in use". Called my bank and they don't have a specific name for their fraud detection company other than a tele # 1-866-750-9102 but you need a transaction/case # which I don't have because I missed the recorded message. Guess I'll just have to wait till the bank's next business day which, of course, is a Monday
I received a call from them, also. Mine came in this morning. I call my bank, to see if it was a legitimate number. They are going to call me back. The easiest way to check on this, I think, is to call the number on the back of the bank cards you have, to see if there was any unauthorized activity on that account. I am still waiting to hear back from the bank, so I think I will check on it myself.
