I have been receiving calls from this number for a while. They stopped for a while, and have just begun to resume. Having read the previous postings, it's no wonder why so many people will not return any calls they receive that do not leave messages, or worse yet, leave messages which say almost nothing. Most of these posting seem to indicate that this is a number for Citibank. It is a well-known fact that Citibank sponsors such cards as Home Depot, Exxon/Mobil, Sunoco, Shell, and a whole host of others. I would tend to think that if Citibank calls you, regarding a problem with a particular account, they would leave a message which would say something like "this is Citibank calling (your name) in regards to your (type of account (exxon/mobil, sunoco, home depot, shell, etc)) account. please call us at XXX-XXX-XXXX. If a message would mention the account name, and if you don't trust the phone number that the message leaves, you can always call the customer service number listed on the back of the card. Isn't it a shame that the average consumer has to be so urgently careful and possibly operate with the attitude "who's looking to rip me off or screw me today?".
They have been calling multiple times a day for months! How do I block them?!
Called them back twice. Once I told them I was not giving them any personal information because if they have my phone number they already have my personal info they hung up both times. Obvious scam.
please change the mobile number
If it was a legitimate call, they would have left a message one of the 25 times they've called in the past week.
This number has called me 35... THIRTY FIVE!! times in the past 13 days. Though it goes to voicemail at least once a day, they've never left a message. I have them on my blocked calls list on my cell phone, so at least it doesn't ring anymore, but the phantom voice mails are still really annoying.
They keep calling claiming they are Citbank. I have never had a card with Citibank. I have blocked them from my cell phone but it is still really annoying.
877-587-5727 is calling me relentlessly now for several weeks. Instructions are to go online to www.payment.citi.com/citiclientfirst.aspx. My citi account is up to date and I'm wondering what is going on and how I can stop these annoying phone messages.
Calls stating to login and check account status....I have one citi account, in good standing! Logged onto said site....got a virus!
Strangely enough, when I went to CITI Bank's Facebook page to report this, they said it IS their number, but they have no idea why they'd be calling us since our account payments are up-to-date.
