Another roobocall from this invalid (spoofed) toll-free number arrived today, less than 1 month since the last call on July 5. Once again, when the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space.Since early July, many callers have reported serial harassment from this number-spoofing caller, an apparent out-of-work contractor offering to do home repairs. Foils, these guys have no services to offer; they specialize in wallettechtomy -- surgical removal of the wallet. They're not getting mine, and the shouldn't get yours, either.The number is invalid on its face, as there is no such 153 prefix on toll-free or non-toll-free exchanges. Refuse to answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. Let your answering machine do this for you and frustrate the fraudsters/

Could hear a boiler room of people talking. Woman says her father is a contractor and she wanted to know if the next work I was going to have done on my house was inside work or outside work. I told her I was not going to talk to her about that and hung up.

This is a favorite tactic of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who troll the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to rip off.According to some posters, this is an out-of-work contractor (possibly unlicensed) who is dialing for dollars. The phone lines are already teeming with scam contractors, scam charities, scam solar energy vendors, and other turds. A scam is a scam is a scam.Stop these telecriminals by letting your answering machine take their pathetic, thieving calls!
