This spoofed number calls my cell phone about once a week. Of course I never answer and never any message. Obviously fake.
They call like once to twice daily. 5 times I have asked them to stop calling me and to put me on do not call list. They are still calling.
I answered this number and it was from a "roofing" company. They threatened me as i told them i have asked before to be removed from the calling list. Why is that oky to do??
They called asked for a person that does not exist, they claim to be a construction company, the guy asked if i am married, i asked why do you need to know, he said if you are then you get 10% off, and that's when i know something is wrong with this call, be careful.
I answered, guy in obvious boiler room operation (can hear all others in the background) stated that they have legal documents filed against me that need my signature, that he would show up at my house on tomorrow to obtain it. If I didn't cooperate then she would contact my employer to obtain the signature, if not, then they would continue with the legal proceedings and law suit. I said "Well, no legit number starts with a 153 prefix so you can take that paperwork, wrap it around your privates and go F yourself with it." Added number to blocked call list and went about my day.
Yet another unwanted call from this invalid (spoofed) toll-free number arrived today, less than 4 months since the last unwanted call on Feb. 27, and at least the 8th call from these creeps since July 2016. Once again, when the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space. Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) often spoof their numbers to cover their tracks while trolling the phone lines, in boiler room fashion, seeking gullible schmucks to victimize. Some posters report this is an out-of-work contractor (probably unlicensed), based in Beverly Hills with the phone number (424) 777-9271, and sometimes going by the name "Mike with California Construction," Folks, the phone lines are already teeming with scam home improvement contractors, scam police charities, scam solar energy vendors, scam vacation giveaways, scam credit card services, scam HVAC contractors, scam IRS impersonators, and other assorted fraudsters. A scam is a scam is a scam.DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE TELECRIMINALS. LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.
Received a call, they were BEYOND RUDE; probably a scammer anyway. I need to answer all calls as I am a receptionist and this lady (said her name was "Karen") was an [***]. Karen: Are you Mrs. ______? Me: No, may I ask who's calling? Karen: This is Karen, can I speak to Mrs. ______? Me: May I ask where you're calling from? Karen: That's none of your business. You're not Mrs. ________. AND SHE HUNG UP. DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!!
