They left a message on my cell. When I returned their call I got a machine that wanted my social security number. Phishing is illegal!!!!! I finally got someone to anser their phone but the person who answered wouldn't give me their name.
I get multiple calls in the same day. That's actually illegal. They're trying to collect a debt, and debt collection laws do not permit harassment. Multiple calls in one day, or even several in the same week, constitutes harassment. Naturally, the person they're calling for doesn't exist. Not at this number. I've had my number for nearly 3 years. Not sure where they're getting their information, but it's wrong. I've told them this I don't even know how many times. I'm now seriously considering litigation. I don't actually care if I get anything out of it, I just want them to stop calling me.
Legality varies from state to state. I did read that such harassment is illegal, for Colorado, however, that doesn't address if you're not the debtor. I also can't find the document I read to confirm it. This is why I'm looking into litigation.
I am so sick and tired of these people calling me. They hound you to death even if you are 2 days late.This is a business, I could lose my job.
They asked me for my ss#, credit account number and loan on my car number. I don't respond because it is a recording
Even if you talk to them and make payment arrangements with them, they will still call you back that same day because NONE of the IDIOTS READ the notes written on your ACCOUNT! It is rediculous!
This stupid company refuses to stop calling my cellphone and asking for someone I don't know. I haven't financed an automobile since 1995.I now call them every day and ask for someone they don't know.
They call and call and call will not leave a message when they do speak and most of the time when you answer they don't even say anything. They have been asked to remove the number they are calling because the person they want to speak to is not at this number but we do take a message for them.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
