I got the same letter from AVC travel. I actually made the apptment to go there for the 90min lecture and came on here and read all about their scam. I called to cancel just now and I got the rudest woman ever who demanded to know why I couldnt make my apptment 2 weeks from today and I made a commitment to 2 ppl- the tour guide and someone else. I yelled at her until she hung up on me.

I didn't call, this is too good to be true. No one gives anything away for free! What tipped off first was how they spelled my name, whenver I sign up for things I spell my name differently, that way if I get anything suspicious in the mail I know where it came from. The letter said I have won a new Mercedes/Porche, money and a Royal carribean cruise..I didn't call just chucked it in the mail. Do not call, it is a SCAM!!!

best thing to do to put a stop to these sort of scams is forward the entire letter to the postmaster general as mail fraud. if they get enough of them then it would show that they have /had no intention of paying out what they have stated in the letter. if 1000 people was to win what they have stated then they would have to payout 1,295,000.00.

same (bleep) that everyone else is getting - call within 72 hrs...we've been trying to reach you....these people need to get a life and get on down the road - there out to be a way to totally block them this type of crap! Shredders are a wonderful thing!

Thanks everyone! I just got this letter yesterday and seriously thought about calling. WOW! glad i didn't.

I received a postcard stating "You Did Not Pick Up!" I was to call IMMEDIATELY as they had been trying to reach me. I supposedly won a Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche or $49,000. cash; a $1,500. Shopping Spree; Exotic Island Adventure - $806. value or $500. Cash. They gave me three days to call and give the number printed to arrange to pick up the prize.This supposedly is the FINAL NOTICE! Sure hope so!!!Needless to say I will not be giving them a call as they probably have caller ID and will just log my number into their system and start calling.

Just recieved the same mail. Just happy I google these crooks before they could take advantage of me or any of my friends. Thanks guys.
