I sent a text to this number and received the following text back "Cricket is not participating in this event at this time"!!!!!
I got a call and answered it and it was an Indian guy telling me that they are calling to help me fix my Windows and to go to the computer. I got the same call yesterday from a different number. Part of me was curious to play along as I wanted to see what their scam was but I was eating lunch so just told them to stop trying to scam me and take me off their list.Caller ID says "Econ Wealth" but it's obviously not them. The number showed: 888-888-8888

I got a call from this number yesterday, Saturday, Jan.26, 2013, around 11 AM. The man sounded Indian & claimed to be calling from Windows (Microsoft) about my computer which he said was not functioning properly. I interrupted him & asked from where he was calling (as I have previously received similar calls from a New Jersey number). He answered "India". I replied "I have spoken to you before & requested you not to call me." I then hung up.Is there any way to stop these calls?
I rcvd a call from this number on my business line at 7:30 pm when I was not in the office. Said "Hi' my name is Marty from the Retirement Group. I know you didn't make our last luncheon and I wanted to touch base to give you our January schedule and go over your pension fund's current changes. We see a potentially large change in your pension calculation. Call me to discuss" and gives the 800-900-5867 number. I will not be calling as this company does not handle my pension - BEWARE - probably a ploy to get a hand on your social security number!
these little slimy weasle parasites rat bastids got hold of my mother this week too. she didn't know any better but now she's on to them. if you have a digital phone or a mobile phone, you can block them. But honestly, this needs to be reported to the FCC and if enough people report it, it'll get addressed. but if all we do is complain in these forums, nothing will happen. minimally, these asshats are committing a federal offense wherever they're calling from.
I found 2 $40 charges on my credit card made on the same day that were bogus. I called the phone number associated w/those charges. A recording came on informing me I'd won a cruise. I hung up. I then called my credit card service to inform them of the phoney charges. When the woman checked, all it said was that it 'charitable donation'. I'm getting a new card. Old one is cancelled.
