They keep calling - I have asked to be removed from call list - have not done so - its a health insurance/prescription scam.
We have received calls from "the pharmacy," also. At times, they are identified as being a local medical organization on the caller id. It is a scam. Our medical providers confirmed that it is a scam.
I received a call on my home phone landline (Area Code 734) at 11/08/2019 at ~10am with a caller I.D. 'Q link wireless 734 915 2210 ' asking for my son 'John Smith' by name (my son, who is in the active Navy- remember that, because Navy personnel are supplied medical treatment, and medications by the Navy, not by an 'Insurance Company'). I said I was 'John'. The man (with a Indian accent, says he was in 'Hoouston') said he was with the 'Pharmacy Network' and asked if I had various ailments- Example: "Do you have sore joints?" If I said yes, he would offer to send me an ointment/ pill medication that would treat the sore joints, and there would be No Charge to me-- they would bill my insurance company that he thought was 'PPO Health Plan'. 'Do you have heartburn?' 'Yes'. 'We will send you medication to treat that, at No Charge To You'. We eventually got up to 7 medications on his list, that I needed, that would be Prescribed by their On-line Doctor after I spoke with the doctor over the phone. The scary part was he had "John's" date of Birth, and home address (my home address, not the Navy address) . I told him I needed a phone number and he gave me 'Customer Support 888 938 5487' and admitted that this was his first day doing this. He seemed troubled when I told him I did not have either Medicare or Medicaid, but would be able to bill 'Express Scripts'. Typically, a solicitor will call from a non-existent Area Code 734 number Caller I.D., offering me a 'back brace' or a special cane, and if I say I want one, they bill Medicare a high dollar amount, and send me the back brace or cane. This sounds very similar-- Create a 'want' for a 'back brace' and charge the government a lot of $ for the item. I refused to say 'Yes' it was OK to send me this medications because I really did not need most of the 7 items. (The I talked to the supervisor, Brenda, and told her I wanted to do some research on 'Pharmacy Network', and they could call me next week. (My big objection is they are creating a 'Need' for something that may, or MAY NOT, be actually 'Needed', or used, and therefor wasting government, or 'Insurance' money. A typical 'back brace' needs to be fitted by a therapy specialist or doctor, to be effective, so this is not the best way. The fact they needed me to say, 'Yes, send it', and they need me to talk to the 'doctor' indicates they will probably send something, whether useful or not, and therefore not recommended. Scam Suspicion.
A woman called twice from 586-510-4711 offering free over the counter pharmaceuticals covered by my Blue Care Network insurance. Said she was from the "Pharmacy Network" with a callback number of 888-938-5487. She had my name, date of birth, street address, and was able to look up my primary care doctor. Still... it seemed very fishy. As in a fishing scam to verify my information. Very worrying that she had so much of my information. I called Blue Care for help and the could offer no useful suggestions as any actions I could take. They just said to look for strange bills from them and report them if any showed up. Sounds stupid to wait for a crime to happen. Especially when you have evidence it is likely to happen before it happens.
Some lady called me about free medications cream and heartburn medes said the Pharmact network they are free she took blue cross information should I call blue cross to report it?
Some guy named Clay called my mom's house and asked for me and said that he was from Ford Motor Company, but left no further details. I found it funny since I've not been to the Ford dealer for anything. Sounds like it might be a phone scam.
Some person by the name of Anthony calling me from some suppose pharmacy. Offering me pain medication
