Received a message from this number stating is from American Express Thief Proteccion Dpt. to let me know about some suspicious activity regarding my American Express card. Leaving a reference number and also a 1866 408 7878 number to call back. Be careful of this people, want to trick you!!!!! Be Careful!!!!!

This was a legitimate call about a Citi bank customer service survey that I had taken the night before. 07/14/2015

SCAM!!! They called saying they were Macy's with a security alert and to call back with account number. They were calling with my wifes name, I have never had a Macy's card.

Call left voicemail. Human left message.Notice that there is a CitiMortgage Homeowner event local to me in ~2 weeks. I am a CitiMortgage customer. Somewhat legitimate activity, but still not a warranted method of contact (via my cel phone).

Scam. not legit. only call back numbers on your actual card.

legit. I have a new Citi Card; used it for several online purchases. Citi called to confirm. Called back the number on the back of the credit card. Always the safest.

Legit call from Citibank fraud detection. I thought it was a scam, so I did not answer & deleted the voicemail. But when I logged into my Citibank account, it was frozen for possible fraud activity until I called customer service.

Felt suspicious. I picked up the phone and said nothing. They said "Hello?" and I hung up. Did not call back. From the rest of the msgs here, doesn't look legitimate. Caller ID said "Citi"

number is ok. came from citi because of apple pay added to my account.

Scam. Voicemail left, claimed to be Citi, wanted to tell me about fraudulent charges, left a 877# to call back with a reference # and asked for my account#. I dont even have a Citi account.
