I forgot to add that the caller did not leave a message. He or she simply hung up when I did not answer.

I never pick up numbers I don't know, and this number just rang in. They did leave a voicemail, and listening to that, it was Citi for a card I have, and I had just made a large purchase - it was the fraud department checking on it.So, yes, always a good idea to not answer random numbers, but listen to voicemails. This one was legit - scams generally won't leave a message, and if they do, go around it by calling the appropriate number directly (# on the back of the card, etc).

Fraud alert on a common first name and caller couldn't pronounce it correctly.

The message stated they were calling from Citi Visa, asked me to return the call and to give them a reference number they had left in the voicemail message. I have already validated this card by the phone # on the credit card as well as on the website... I WON'T be returning this call; I find it highly suspicious.

They called, left a message, saying that there frauxent charges on one of my credit cards. I called credit card co. NO CHARGES were made in the card, since February. It's a scam

I just received a call from this number and had them leave me a message, since it came into my cell from Florida. They also were calling saying they were calling regarding my Mobil cc and wanted me to cal, them back with my account number. I just checked to see if the number is ligit and you are all posting different cc names. So I'm not calling them back.

Left a message about charges on my Citibank card but I do not have a Citibank card, felt very weird, caller id said CITI, did ntot call back.
