The reason that so many of you answer the phone and do not hear someone on the other end is because the auto-dialer routes the call to the first available operator - sometimes there can be a 10-15 second pause while the auto switch performs that operation. Of course if you are waiting on the line that seems like a long time, and so most people hang up. The auto-dialer then notes that the phone was actually answered and will redial the number again within a few days.Weed Man uses a number of 3rd party marketers to obtain their business, from door-to-door salesman who offer a "free" assessment to telephone call centers. All of these individuals are paid on a "per sale" commission basis, This makes it very hard to control the quality of these individuals.Frankly, the NO CALL LIST only works if the telemarketers choose to honour it. You can, of course, make a complaint to the CRTC about a particular number, but I suspect that the CRTC just files away the complaint. They seem to be big on preventing people from receiving "illegal" satellite signals (DirecTV, etc) but not so much on the stuff that really pisses people off.

the donotcall laws only work when people receiving the illegal telemarketing calls actually FILE COMPLAINTS to do not call.. 1 complaint is NOT ENOUGH - there has to be thousands of complaints before the government (Canada or US) can do anything. Too many people assume that their complaint is ignored - when in fact they cannot do anything until EVERYONE FILES COMPLAINTS. IT takes time - Remember the GOVERNMENTS work slowly

I've been getting calls from this number almost daily for awhile. I answered it yesterday and it was Weed Man offering a free estimate.

i receive at least 2 calls a day from this number and they don't leave a message.

i got a call from this number no answer called back phone out of order?

Same number calls me twice a day....no one there I pick up....says not in service when called back... I'd like to find out where the number is from.

Getting them every day as well. This is from "The Weed Man" business. They call to see if your home and the computer records whether or not you answered so they know the number is still active. Not picking up wont do anything either because when your answering service/machine comes on, they'll know your number is still valid. Call the weed man and go nuts on them like I did and they promised no more phone calls. It's worth calling them to remove your number so you don't have to deal with this again. Also, never do business with them. EVER.

Keeps calling and no message. What the hell are they doing?

This number calls every day, never leaves a message and never responds when picked up. It has been reported to the phone company who says this number is not in service. I think they are checking to see if you are home for home robberies.
