Rang 3 times and then disconnected. CID said: "Big Bear Lake, CA" and the phone number. Since I know nobody in Big Bear Lake I can only assume it was a telemarketer. I've never donated to Heifer International. I'll just do as I always do: Post on this site and then block the number. I'm lucky to have a phone that will block 250 calls.

Received call on 5-27-14; no message was left from this number. Did not recognize the number so I did not answer

I started getting these calls this week. I shopped around and found a phone that allows me to block up to 300 numbers. It has paid for itself. When one of these calls comes in, it will ring once and then cut off. Now sure if they get a message on their end.

everybody has an opinion (some quite adamant) about whether these are legit calls or not. the trick is DO NOT ANSWER!!!if they are so legitimate, they will leave a message. how many people do you actually know in big bear lake california? these people are first-class scammers.
