Received a call on my land line. It was listed as "Private Caller" but number was shown. I didn't answer and no message was left.
Called my cell. Location showed as Pomona, California. I did not answer & they left no message.
Have had so many calls from this bunch, soliciting donations to multiple charities! I know the calls are legal, but that doesn't make them less irritating. The only remedy I can think of to not get calls from these folks is to let the charities they supposedly represent know they'll not get any kind of donation through a third party from any of us.
Received a call from 909-366-4126. Caller id said 'MDS COMM -'. I never answer calls from numbers I don't know and given the long and varied history of this number, it's pretty clear that it's a scammer.
Got a call from this number this morning. My phone system is set to send unknown or suspicious numbers straight, which it did. They didn't leave a message. Called ID says "MDS COMM". Googled and found company called MDS Communications that calls itself "one of the nation's largest telephone fundraising providers" . Guess then that the call could have been on behalf of any one of a million "charities" or more likely a political party.
8:50 pm on a Saturday night? Really? Needless to say, we didn't answer then and won't answer in the future. And, YES, we registered on the "Do Not Call" government list - doesn't seem to make any difference with these people.
Called and left no message. Some posters said this is the charity scammer MDS Communications calling. This company is known to pocket more than half of what they take in which makes them a third party scammer for various charities. We get calls from this corrupt company all the time just like lots of people. Never give them any money or information.
Only number on caller-id. Asked for me by name but left no other message. I didn't answer. Don't want these types of calls!!
