I have been getting phone calls from this number for about a week now and every time I answer they hang up within the first few seconds. They called me again about 10 mins ago and were on line for 10 seconds and hung up. I had no idea who it was when they first called and thought might be someone calling on an issue I am dealing with. I called the number back and got an answering machine and told them they just called me and it didn't go thru. I just keep getting the calls. I am going to stop answering it and report it to the BBB here.
I just got my first call from this number. If anyone has recently received an email about work-at-home opportunities and you filled out their little form including name, email and phone #, this is where its coming from. I knew it was a huge mistake filling it out. I went right to Verizon and put the number on my block sender list.
I think it is from one of those Work from Home websites. . .my kid was crusing around on those and put my phone number in....THX KID!!!
person has called me once every other day for over a week now they always hang up or don't leave a message
Me too. Just received the third call in a last week. I answered the first time and got hung up on and I haven't bothered since.
This guy called me from that number and said it's a debt consolodation program, they make you a site and every person you get on their program they take $200 dollars off your debt...he could tell I wasn't buying it and said I'll call you later in the week...wtf? He said I signed up for it but I don't remember doing it...Sounds like a scam to me...
this phone number is one (maybe 2) of 3 phone calls calling me and asking for "joseph". the caller did not hang up on me. I feel like all callers were hispanic - were nice, but I am sceptical. One call came from a 877 area code. I'm wondering if they figure that Joseph is so common a name that it's a shot in the dark for them to catch a house with someone named Joseph. Or are they testing to see what time of the day I will answer. Or otherwise, maybe some named Joseph has given this institution, loan officer, business office, relative, drug dealer, employer, or who-knows-what has given my phony number as his. I hate stuff like this! And I especially hate that these calls are coming on my cell phone, on which I have limited minutes at my set rate.
