I recognized the strong accent and general approach from many calls I've received from these con artists. I immediately told him he had nothing to do with my computer and he was working for scammers. I told him I hoped he knew that he was cheating people and hung up. This one did not try to talk over me and deny wrongdoing. March 4, 2013. This time he cited problems with my "windows computer" instead of my Microsoft computer.

More Indian computer scam rejects. Getting sick of their crap.

Got this today.... the # was different by the last digit 971 217-9508 I wished I had thought longer and engaged this guy in conversation more....Instead I got angry and told him this was bullc rap and to never call again. Tried to call it back to see who or what answered....got answering machine saying they were not available. Someone mentioned this was a Beverton Oregon number....that is not correct. It is a NY City area code. They tried this with my mother last year who hung up and called me about it. Fortunately, even though she is not very computer literate she did not fall for it.

I got this call today. The caller claimed that he calls from Microsoft and wants to access my computer to remove infected software. The number i 1-971-217-9518. The caller is India with a heavy accent. He claims that he calls from Columbus, Ohio.

This number phones and when answered a recorded maessage says goodbye

I just got a call from this number as well. I told the woman I wasn't interested and to have a nice day. She had the nerve to call me back and tell me I was being rude and she was trying to help me with my computer. I "politely" listened for two minutes, told her I was in fact extremely busy at the moment. That I was going to look into the number she called from to see if they were legit and that they were free to call me back at a later time. She hung up on me. lol

They had called me a few minuets ago, i had answered said hello 3 times and they hung up, so i called back and it rang and rang then it said that the caller i was trying to reach is unavailable

I just got the call from 917-217-9518... telling that they are getting error message from my PC. I asked how they get error message... the error message should go to Microsoft... He said Microsoft is only a vendor... I am also in the IT field so I asked him again how they are linked to Microsoft and how they get the error message... His tone went bad and disconnected the phone... Tried to trace the call but did not get the details...

I got a call from an Indian guy the same as the previous posts, claiming I have a malicious software and he was calling from Windows. He called few times, I stopped picking up and when the voice mail went on he did not leave a message. He called from 917-217-9518. I asked him few times for an employee ID and he said the connection was breaking up and called back. Also, to email me his employee ID because I did not believe him he was who he was and since he has all my information he can do it, but did not receive an email to confirm he was a Windows representative. So I guess another [***] trying to scam people. Have your security on and ignore these F**KHeads.

an arrogant [***] strong accent and i told him i have told you guys not to call me before ...... he said when did you tell me that why are you lying. I said don't call my [***] # anymore do you understand and he said i understand your # [***]. He was just a jerk and they have called before .... i tried being nice before it doesn't work.......last time i told him thanks for the info i will have my computer checked out at best buy.
