This is to Works & Lentz Attorneys Offices.Recieved 2 calls from this number then I was served at work over a medical bill. I think it would be your best bet to call them back as soon as possible. We paid that off and had several other medical bills we did not even know about. We are now working with them doing payments each month. they are not half bad if you would just call them. I deal with either Chad Brody or Wendy Cole who are "account managers" who work for several attorneys that specialize in medical law. So dont be stupid call back and hopefully its just a wrong number!!
its required to id yourself when discussing medical accounts/issues with the new hippa laws. Unfortunatly although they might enjoy hanging up on you they have to do their jobs.
works and lentz has called twice,my wife has asked them to verify our account and I have asked them to verify my accout. My name is such a common name I do not wish to pay someone elses bill. both times they have refused to honor our request.they have threatened to turn it over to legal if we don't make a commitment imediatly.
I got a call from this number he asked for a person by name. Before I let her talk I asked who was calling. He said Andrew. I asked for his last name or work for. He told me that Andrew was all he was telling me in a rude manner. So I told him that wasn't enough and said bye. I will write a letter to them; however, from what I have read I don't know if it would do any good.
got a recording call from this number, it was asking for my ex-husband by name. I selected the option for them having the wrong number. I don't know how they would have come across my number for him.
They have called me once or twice a month for about a year now. All I have heard is a recording asking for me by my maiden name (I had been married for 2 years when this all started). I have assumed they are not a legitimate business because the message says to press a number to talk to a person, but a person never picks up. The message also just says an amount, it does not say who I supposedly owe it to or when it was from or for what, but it does helpfully add that I can pay it right now with my VISA card. Oh, ok, let me just give my credit card number to strange recording.
It's an attorney's office called Works and Lyntz. They are trying to collect a debt, so they are not going to be forthright until they talk to you in person.
They get offended if you call them a collection agency, as if it's beneath them b/c they are "lawyers". Next time they call, refer to them as a collection agency and see if the caller goes into a script about how they are not. And oh yeah, Chad Brody has a very short temper and is not very professional...so if you get him take a deep breath and have fun with him.
I am confused. Is this a law firm, collection agency, or financier? I have never heard of a law firm that specializes in collections. I have never been legitimately threatened with garnishment by a collection agency, but apparently Works & Lentz is good at getting that done. Finally, I have never been charged interest on anything other than a bank loan, or financed material purchase. Yet Works & Lentz charges me interest on my outstanding medical bills. Is that legal?
Watch out for this group. They will hound you over and debt that is not owed due to the hospital mistakes and their own mistakes. I, myself do not put them very high on ethics. Just another shady bill collector. It was in the news that so collectors are trying to collect debts that were not owed or debts that had gone over the statue of limitations.
