I tell them either a) I am Sgt Hanson with the MA Division of Consumer Fraud, or b) Dr. Hanson with the Cancer Center, and we received the results of their cancer screening, which unfortunately were positive.
You report this to the FCC.gov .I have been doing this for 2 years .They call my home my cell my vacation home and i'm on a DNC list .There is supposed to be a $7500 fine for a violation .Yes this time it was the 920 number You need to be harsh with the FCC like I did .I asked them when they were going to do their job ,since there are millions of unemployed people out there that would do a better job than the FCC for half the pay .I asked why they didn't pick up these creeps and just not pile up complaints and do something finally.A call to your Congressman wouldn't hurt either. In the end it's the FCC that should be doing something and we should get as many people as we can to complain loudly ,maybe they will listen.
I did not answer because they call all the time, some deal on your credit card interest

I get calls from this number and several others and almost every time I ask them to take me off their list they just hang up on me.Once I asked them to take me off their calling list, the person on the line repeated my phone number back to me. I'm pretty sure she got it wrong so I told her my number and she just said "Yeah, that's what I said." then hangs up.
Let's face it folks, these are scam artists and do not fall under the "do not call" because any reputable telemarketer (oxymoron?) would not be doing robocalls of this nature and would have an opt out. It will do you no good to report these because they keep flipping numbers. I seriously doubt they actually have a call list but do have a computer that can go through the numbers numerically until they get a hit.I have reported many times to the site and have never heard anything from the government. I'm beginning to think that is a scam too - pablum to the public. Have you EVER heard of the government shutting someone down? However, I have a new trick -unless I recognize the number/area code I do not answer. So far, they do not leave a message that I have to pay to listen to. If I miss an important call, they should leave a message. You know, you don't HAVE to answer the phone every time it rings.
